On Sunday we enjoyed the Open House at the kids' school.
Sister showed us how to use the new Promethean board in her classroom.

Her class is working on writing research reports on a sea creature.
They each had to create a 3D sculpture that was at least 2 feet large of the creature they chose. They had to be made entirely on their own.

Ever since her teacher began posting the really well-done ones, Sister's handwriting has tremendously improved.

Sister was Scarlet Rose from the California tribe.

Sister's teacher did a fabulous job hanging all those sea creatures for display.
Be careful if you are taller than 5'5'', though, as those blow fish have sharp needles and they are hanging low.
The school uses a wonderful art program that teaches about famous artists and their styles. Can you tell which artists each of these resulted from?

Next year Sister will be in the 4th grade. Can you believe it?
