No school today... It's a snow day!!!
So, we bundled up in our snow gear and headed outside earlier than we even would have made it to school.
Off to the sledding hill.

Clap Clap Stomp Stomp HOWL!!!
As part of our Christmas gift from my parents this year, we received tickets to Great Wolf Lodge. The kids have been looking forward to going again since we went during the summer as guests for the day.The two big kids also have birthdays coming up. So, as part of each of their birthday presents from us, we got them each a Paw Pass. It is a package that included creating a stuffed animal (like Build a Bear), Brother chose a red dragon (which he named Norbert, then Toothless, and now is just dragon most of the time).
Sister picked a wolf (to represent Great Wolf Lodge). They have you make a wish on a star and put it into the animal before they close it up.
It also included wands and the Magic Quest game. We didn't do that last time we came since we were only there for a short time. It was actually really fun for the kids. Simple tip though, flip flops and slippers are not great for running up and down stairs looking for magical objects. Next time we'll bring some regular shoes along.
It hadn't occurred to us ahead of time, but this is really the first time our kids have stayed in a hotel room. Normally we stay with family, in my parents' RV, or in a tent when we travel. So, the hotel room was really fun for them. Here is Sister all decked out on one of the beds.
Brother had lots of fun too. He had to check out everything.
Baby Bear was more interested in climbing everything. Here's an example of his future in the circus:
They also loved using the hotel phone to call Memere and Papa. Interestingly enough, it wasn't long distance so it wasn't really any different than using a phone from home, but it had lots of buttons and a cord. So cool. BTW, Baby Bear is actually just using a toy phone in this photo.
The lodge has a main room (or the living room as Sister called it) where there is this show that is put on several times a day. The characters all move and sing. Afterwards, it "snows". I wont ruin it for you by telling you what the snow really is made of, but it was really amazing to the kids.
It is interesting because people walk around in bathing suits and pjs day and night. Here we are heading out on a short Quest before the final show and bedtime storytime. I think we might have to start calling Baby Bear Linus since he carts that giant blanket EVERYWHERE.
Here we are ready for the show. Can you tell we're exhausted?
Wiley the Wolf helps lead the bedtime story. Here's Sister with him afterwards.
Look! A picture of all five of us.
So, you might be asking, where's the water park? Well, it's pretty tough to get pictures in there because everything has water shooting from it. Plus, my camera didn't like me very much. I did catch a few fun shots.
Baby Bear loved this jet ski and shooting the water gun on the front.
Here Sister and Brother are waiting for the giant bucket to dump water over them.
Here it comes.
Splash!
Run!

Baby Bear also enjoyed the wave pool (when the waves weren't going).
Brother had a blast letting the waves take him all over the place.
Sister remembered to bring her goggles for some serious wave pool play. She loved dunking under the waves and swimming through them.
Both big kids also loved crossing this (over and over and over and over again).
Look at Brother under the wall of water!
What a great time we had!!!
