Happy Veteran's Day

In honor of Veteran's Day this year, the big kids' school held their annual Veteran's Day assembly. All the scouts wore their uniforms.
Sister sitting with her girl scout troop.
Brother coming in with his class.
We enjoyed honoring all the men and women who have bravely served our country. We especially appreciate our own veterans, Petty Officer 3rd Class Papa and Captain Daddy.

All Saints Day

Our church had a celebration for All Saints Day.
Sister dressed as St. Teressa Benedicta of the Holy Cross (Edith Stein).
Some of the "saints" ready to march in.
Baby Bear was not a happy St. Michael.
What a blessed All Saints Celebration!!!
(By the way, Brother was not dressed as a saint since he had a friend's birthday party to attend right before. He did come and watch, though.)

Trick or Treat

Halloween started with a costume parade at the kids' school
Brother Bear and some of the other boys in his class.
Brother's class ready for the kindergartners to parade through.
Brother's class joins in the parade.
Sister's class gets ready for the parade to come through.
 Brother parades by Sister.
Sister dressed as Annabeth from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and her friend.
 Brother was Ninja Spiderman.
Brother and his friend play rock, paper, scissors to decide who gets to be wrapped in toilet paper.
 Sister's class made carmel apples.
Baby Bear enjoyed some tasty treats once he woke up from his nap. He was dressed as Grover from Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.
At home we made our traditional crescent dogs for dinner.
Then, we watched It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
We stopped by a local nursing home to do some trick or treating.

Then, the kids had fun playing on the school playground a bit before Trunk or Treating.

Baby Bear got some candy from Fr. D.

Sister had fun going around with her friend.
Brother poses with Fr. J who opted not to dress up.
All done with Trunk or Treating. Time for some popcorn.

Now, it's time for some Trick or Treating.
Weapons weren't allowed at school, so Brother, Sister, and some friends were happy to have them for Trick or Treating.
Baby Bear had the best seat in the house.
Daddy uses some interesting methods to keep our group together.
Sister shows off her SCARED face in front of one of the houses.
Daddy had to do a lot of crowd control with this bunch!
Baby Bear loved the Halloween snow globe.
Happy Halloween!!!
