Getting ready for Easter!!!

We spent Saturday catching up on all our Easter preparations. We first painted and decorated the crowns of thorns (now empty of thorns as the kids did "good" deeds all of Lent to get rid of them).

Then, we made some yummy crowns of thorns (chocolate covered pretzels).

A delicious Easter cake (this is the first year we haven't had birthday cake still).

We used one of the crowns as a nest for our "peeps" since Easter is about rebirth and new life.

We colored eggs.

All ready for Easter tomorrow!!!

Grandma and Grandpa Visit!!!

Grandma and Grandpa came down for Easter weekend. They even brought some beautiful weather with them. Here we are on Friday evening heading out for an after dinner walk.

On Saturday the weather got even warmer!!!

Keep Grandpa in your prayers. He has his surgery today to complete his cancer treatments. We'll miss him for the next two months while he's radioactive, but will keep him in our thoughts and prayers daily!!!

Stations of the Cross

Little Man and I attend Stations of the Cross Good Friday morning with the Moms' group. It was great! Each station had an item the kids collected that represented that station. What a beautiful day for it too. Ignore the fact that one of the moms was wearing an Arctic parka. It really was a nice day for a walk along the outdoor stations. (=

Easter Egg Hunt

Brother's kindergarten class enjoyed some early Easter festivities last Thursday. They experienced the washing of the feet (washing each others and the teachers washed theirs). They also reenacted the last supper. Then, it was time for an Easter story and an egg hunt with the first grade.
