Trip to the Zoo

On Tuesday we packed up the vans and drove the kindergarten class up to the zoo. They had Alphabet books that they filled in as we walked around. The goal was to find an animal to write down for every letter.Measure up to the polar bear. The boys would have played the dung beetle game FOREVER!!!The boys loved the shark teeth. One of the zoo keepers was so patient answering all their questions.Yes, I did make them get measured up against everything we came across. They just grow up so quickly.Oh no! Shark attack!!!The walruses were so HUGE!!!The boys LOVED the polar bears. I didn't get a photo of it, but when one of the bears was in the water, it popped up right in front of us at the window and the boys were thrilled. My cute little monkey! Some monkeys escaped! Can you find them all?Oh no! A scary spider!!!Climbing the statue.Green and Gold all together for a snack. The Gold class boys plus one.Ready to head home. It's a kid chain to the car. (=

Trying No Naps

We're trying to stop Little Man from taking a nap since he will be up very late (10-11 PM) when he does and is still up at 6 AM in the morning. As you can see, it's not going so well. Here we are in Safeway getting some groceries before picking the kids up from school.

Pediatric Cardiologist Update!

This visit went SO much better than last year. Give him a lollipop and the Cars video and he was a perfect zombie for the 30 minute echo cardiogram. Dr. Kim said that he is doing GREAT!!!
Time to go outside and play in the backyard for a bit. Little Man likes to hold his own car wash. What a blessing!!!

Kindergarten Zoo

Here's Brother with the eggs that are getting ready to hatch. They've been watching them since day 1. See the fish too?
So fun! Two caterpillars getting ready to cocoon. Almost ready to become butterflies. What a zoo in Kindergarten!

Mother's Day

In celebration of Mother's Day, Brother's class held a Mother's Day Tea during the week prior. Here are Brother and Momma ready for the tea.My handsome boy all dressed up for the tea.The kids sang some sweet songs for us and shared fun books they'd made for each of us.Afterwards, they led us in prayer before we enjoyed the tasty dishes each family provided. On Mother's Day, we attended mass with my mom and dad as usual. Here's a photo of us with the Mary statue at the church. My dad gave my mom and me corsages to wear. I'm glad we got the photo before mass, as mine was pretty destroyed by Baby Bear by the end of it.Afterwards, my parents took us out to some lunch. I opened a beautiful gift from Sister. Did some gardening and yard work with my boys. Had some friends over for a play date. Called Grandma K to wish her a Happy Mother's Day. Then, enjoyed a delicious BBQ at my parents' house. What a fabulous Mother's Day!

May all of you moms have be blessed with sunshine, appreciated by your children, and surrounded by love. Happy Mother's Day!!!
