The weekend after Brother's sixth birthday, my dh loaded the kids up and headed up to Grandma and Grandpa S's house. The kids love to go there. We even have a song,
"Over the ferry and through the woods, to Grandmother's house we go..."
While I have no photos from this very fun visit (hint, hint, Grandma), I know they had a wonderful time playing with their cousins, visiting with Uncle B, Grandma and Grandpa, and playing in the woods.
On Saturday Brother was playing in the woods with Sister and their cousin and while either climbing a tree or running through the woods (I've heard the story told both ways) Brother fell and hit his face on a tree branch. He split his upper lip open and knocked one of his two front teeth out. It was a pretty scary experience for Brother, but he was REALLY brave.
After a visit to urgent care to receive six stitches on Saturday and a visit to the pediatric dentist on Monday morning, we were VERY happy to discover that the tooth that was knocked out was only a baby tooth.
What a way to break in Brother's sixth year of life!!!

The kids were thrilled to wake up and find the candy.
We picked Daddy up from work and headed down south to watch some of the advanced dancers from Sister's school perform their Irish dancing to live music.
It was standing room only and very packed.
Sister practicing before the performance.

My adorable Irish dancer performing a solo on stage.
Great performance, Sister!
