Here are a couple of our Lenten traditions:
We made yummy soft pretzels.
The big kids helped mix the dough.
They rolled it.
Then, formed the pretzel "hearts".
We painted them with raw egg yolks and sprinkled with coarse salt.
Next, all three helped make some salt dough.

They, rolled out the "snakes".

Then, braided the three "snakes" together to make each crown.
Finally, they placed the toothpick "thorns" into the crown to represent how our sins hurt Jesus like the crown of thorns they put on his head hurt him.
Now, they get to remove a thorn every time they do something really nice during Lent.
Have a blessed Lenten Season!!!
