Sister's Birthday Sleepover

For Sister's 10th Birthday party we hosted a sleepover.

The boys were kicked out for the night and it was just me and a gaggle of girls.

Fortunately, a friend I've known since I was 10 came over to keep me sane for a few hours.

We had crafts and games to play, but they couldn't get enough of climbing all over the playhouse and running around in the yard. Who knew?!?

My baby girl is in the double digits...I'm still floored by this!

 

They also enjoyed lots of movies. As you can imagine, my floor was covered in popcorn and candy the next morning. Girls are loud and messy!!!

 

We survived! The next morning they were outside playing some more before pick up time.

 

I'm glad Sister had fun and I was thankful to take a nice long, quiet bike ride by myself after all the girls left. (=

Easter!!!

Happy Easter!!!

The Easter Bunny came early this year.

The eggs were out when the kiddos woke up.

 

 

We dyed eggs a little late this year.

 

Then, it was off to a friend's house for Easter dinner.

 

Fortunately, the kids didn't have school Easter Monday, so they played late into this beautiful spring evening.

What a blessed Easter Sunday filled with faith, family, and friends!!!

Family Bike Ride

The whole family headed out for a bike ride on Holy Saturday.

 

We even stopped and picked up a friend to come along.

 

This was Baby Bear's farewell ride in the infant seat.

No more kicking poor Momma's bottom the entire ride.

When we arrived home, the kids wanted to keep enjoying the nice weather.

Out they went to play a little roller hockey in the street.

 

 Baby Bear found the ants more interesting.

 We're enjoying a beautiful spring and can't wait for summer!

Good Friday

Good Friday showed up with the sun shining.

The kids and I headed out and walked a nearby outdoor stations of the cross.

 

 What a prayerful way to end our Lenten Season.

Sister Bear Turns 10!!!

April was soon here and Sister turned 10!!!

I can't believe my baby girl is in the double digits now.

 

On her real birthday we took a trip up north to the Museum of Flight with friends.

 Despite the pouring rain, we had a great time.

 

After the museum, we headed to Red Robin for some lunch and a special birthday treat!

 Sister was a bit embarrassed by the servers singing to her.

 

 Then, we headed home for some gift opening and cake.

 

 

 

 Happy Birthday, Sister! You are an amazing young lady and I look forward to seeing you move mountains!!!
