The Nutcracker

On the third Sunday of Advent, Joy Sunday, the big kids, Memere, and myself headed downtown to watch The Nutcracker.
We brought one of Sister's friends from school with us and met up with another.

They had lots of friends in the production.
Such a wonderful job by all of the dancers.
You know my influence, though, when Brother whispered to me after the second song, "Why isn't there any talking?"
So, they now understand the definition of a ballet verses a play. (=

Visiting Santa

On a bright clear Saturday we headed to a local Christmas tree farm to visit Santa.
Can you tell it was a bit cold?
Waiting for the man in red.
 Baby Bear loved the goats.
He would have grabbed them and hugged them if he could.
The turkey and Baby Bear chat.
Sister keeps warm by the wood stove.
Anyone want to play a game with Brother Bear?
Momma played a round with Brother.
Memere and Papa joined us too.
 Our family...still waiting for Santa.
We might have to dress Papa up as Santa for next year's photo.
Santa arrives with bells jingling and candy canes at the ready.
Sister gets her candy cane too.
Beautiful Sister with Santa.
 Handsome Brother with Santa.
Reluctant Baby Bear only would go near Santa with Momma.
Time for some cozy new pjs and a fun Christmas movie to warm up!

Santa Claus

On St. Nicholas Day we had a special visitor come through our neighborhood.

Thank you, Santa!!!

Bobcat

Brother Bear earned his Bobcat badge at the end of November.

Cookie Decorating

New Years Eve we had some time to finally decorate our gingerbread house.
I made some Ninja sugar cookies to decorate as well (thank you Aunt Sarah for the super cool cookie cutters).

The kids loved making them and eatting them.

Thanksgiving

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year.
I made the turkey.
Tables are set.
Time for the cousins to arrive.
Some fancy punch.
Mom made the veggie tray.
 Dad entertained Cousin E.
 My family.

For some reason, Uncle J got a foot rub from Brother Bear.
My beautiful turkey is ready to eat.
Uncle J BBQed some yummy steak too.
Annual Turkey Photo. Unfortunately, Baby Bear was a bit grumpy.
Time for a quick battle before dinner.
And some more Chex Mix.
 The adult table.

 Some more battles.
 A bit of girl time.
 Trains!!!
I hope all of you enjoyed as blessed and delicious a Thanksgiving as we did!!!
